δόναξ, ακος, ὁ, das Rohr; Dorisch δῶναξ, Ionisch δοῠναξ; von δονέω, weil es im Winde schwankt; das Wort ist poet., = pros. κάλαμος. Apoll. Lex. Hom. p. 59, 29 Δόνακας· καλάμους. Bei Homer δόναξ dreimal: Odyss. 14, 474 ἂν δόνακας καὶ ἕλος; Iliad. 10, 467 συμμάρψας δόνακας; Iliad. 11, 584 ἐκλάσϑη δὲ δόναξ, der (von Rohr gemachte) Schaft des Pfeiles, vgl. Scholl.
