ἀλλήλων, ohne nom., von ἄλλος, im dual. bei Hom., ἀλλήλοιιν Versende Iliad. 10, 65. 13, 708. 16, 765 Od. 18. 38. 19, 384. 21, 15; ἀλλήλω v. l. Od. 21. 36, s. Eustath. Od. 21, 35 p. 1900, 31; 21, 36 p. 1900, 83: – einer des andern, unter einander, wechselseitig. Von Hom. an überall gebräuchlich z. B. Il. 6, 3 ἀλλήλων ἰϑυνομένων χαλκήρεα δοῠρα, Scholl. Ariston ἡ διπλῆ, ὅτι ἀντὶ τοῦ ἐπ' ἀλλήλους ἰϑυνόντων, indem sie auf einander schossen; – Od. 12, 102 πλησίον ἀλλήλων für ἑτέρου, nach dem Sinne construirt, sie stehen nahe bei einander; oder es muß vom Vorhergehenden durch Interpunction so getrennt werden, daß es einen eigenen Satz bildet, πλησίον ἀλλήλων εἰσίν, vgl. Scholl. Nicanor; – Pind. ἀλλάλοισιν ἀμειβόμενοι, sich gegenseitig unterhaltend, P. 4, 93; γάμον μῖξαι ibid. 223; Plat. οὔτε ἑαυτοῖς οὔτε ἀλλήλοις ὁμολογοῠσιν Phaedr. 237 c; πρὸς αὑτὰ καὶ πρὸς ἄλληλα Gorg. 451 c; – Stellen wie Thuc. 2, 70. 3, 81 nöthigen nicht, ἀλλήλους für ἑαυτούς zu nehmen; eben so wenig Eur.
